Turns out you can.
There were a few details to arrange, e.g. Justice of the Peace, location, etc, but it is really quite easy to get married in Connecticut.
We chose to go out of Rhode Island because our surrounding states have legalized marriage for everyone, and we wanted to support this.
Rachel found an awesome little place called Mystic, CT (yep, it has the famous Mystic Pizza from the movie) and thought that since we were engaged on Avalon getting married in Mystic seemed appropriate.
We found an inn, a former residence built in 1771, for our wedding location and mini-honeymoon, a Justice of the Peace to perform the ceremony, and a fun place for a fancy dinner. Everything was set!
